Jesse Zlotnik, Psy.D.
Ca. Lic. PSY22204
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA and doctor of psychology from The California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP-San Diego). My doctoral research investigated mediation with high conflict couples in child custody disputes.
My training and experience includes individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and forensic assessment in criminal and family law. I have been a clinical supervisor for psychology interns, MFT trainees, and social work interns from San Diego area colleges and universities. Over the past 20 years, I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient psychotherapy, hospitals and correctional settings. I currently manage a mental health department for the US Marshals.
My private practice is a special place for me to bring my passion and experience caring for individuals and couples who are experiencing life’s inherent challenges, helping them recover their feelings of adequacy, strength and love. As a husband and father, I understand that life transitions may bring about feelings of doubt, helplessness and anxiety. With therapy, I can help people draw on their inherent strengths to bring about positive change. My treatment philosophy arises from a deep appreciation of my clients’ unique qualities, diverse histories and core values.
